Hidden Lines of My Henna
Secret glances and mouthed words,
From across the room
A love of two remains hidden far away yet inches away from finding doom.
Playful glares and annoying smirks
An unknown feeling starts blooming,
My tender is heart is pounding,
A love so forbidden but as precious as gold,
Starts taking over my cold heart so bold letting love unfold.
His name entwined deep and hidden within my hennas design, a love so true
As for us lays a wall of culture and tradition,
I hope our love can break through,
For we can never truly be together as long as this division is my parent's mission,
Please let our hard work not end in pure destruction,
The love we share is far beyond imagination,
So let me love him within the hidden lines of my hennas design,
The lines and dots and all the designs,
twine together just like those of a vine.
When we are finally together, our love will shine so bright,
Brighter than the starry sky tonight,
I’ll be the maiden and you my brave knight
Together we will run far away from cruel sight,
We’ll sleep all day and talk all night,
I think as I wait until the day we finally ignite.
